CISCE Rechecking Process — Act Fast if Needed

If you are not satisfied with your marks, you have a very short window to request rechecking.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking. Applications must be submitted within four days of result declaration. The board will not accept requests after the deadline. Students may also authorise their School Head to submit requests via the CISCE CAREERS portal. Mondaq

Four days from April 30 means the rechecking deadline was May 4, 2026. If you have not yet applied and are dissatisfied with a subject mark, check the official CISCE website immediately for any extended deadline announcement and contact your school principal today.

Rechecking involves re-totalling of marks and verification that all portions of the answer have been assessed. It does not involve re-evaluation of individual answers.

What Your ICSE/ISC Marksheet Shows

Your scorecard will display:

  • Student name, Unique ID, and Index Number
  • School name and code
  • Subject-wise marks (theory and practical/project separately where applicable)
  • Total marks and grade
  • Overall pass/fail status

The DigiLocker marksheet is valid until original certificates are issued. It is accepted by colleges and universities for provisional admission. Mondaq

Keep both a digital copy (DigiLocker) and a printed hard copy for all admission applications.

Improvement Exams — For Students Who Want to Score Higher

CISCE offers improvement exams for students who passed but want to improve their scores in specific subjects. These are typically held towards the end of the year.

The board has outlined key post-result procedures, including rechecking, improvement exams, marksheet details, and certificate issuance timelines. Mondaq

Details of improvement exam registration dates will be published on cisce.org. Monitor the official website if you are considering this option.
