CUET UG 2026 Result Declared — June 23: Download Your Scorecard, Understand Your Score and Act Immediately

Published: June 23, 2026 | Continuously Updated

The wait is over. The National Testing Agency has declared the CUET result 2026 on June 23. Over 15.68 lakh students who appeared for the Common University Entrance Test UG 2026 between May 11 and June 7, 2026 can now access their scorecards and begin the critical process of university admission.

Based on previous years trends, NTA usually declared the CUET scores 2026 within three days from final answer key release. This year, CUET final answer key 2026 was released on June 21. The declaration today is precisely on schedule, and every minute you spend not downloading your scorecard is a minute lost in the college admission race that has just officially begun.

This guide gives you everything — from how to download your scorecard in under three minutes to what your score means for Delhi University, BHU, JNU and over 230 participating universities, and the exact steps you must take in the next seven days.

Download Your CUET UG 2026 Scorecard Right Now — Step by Step

The scorecard is only available digitally. NTA will not send scorecards through post or courier. Candidates will have to download their CUET UG 2026 scorecard online from the official website using their login credentials. It is advisable to save a digital copy and take a printout for future use.

Follow these steps immediately:

Step 1: Open your browser and go to the official portal: cuet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the “CUET UG Result 2026” or “Scorecard” link visible on the homepage. If traffic is heavy, try during off-peak hours (after midnight or early morning) or try from a different browser.

Step 3: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth, then click Submit.

Step 4: Your subject-wise scorecard will appear. Download the PDF immediately — do not close the tab before saving.

Step 5: Save the PDF to at least three locations: your phone’s gallery, Google Drive or iCloud, and email it to yourself. Server crashes on result day are common — having multiple backups prevents panic.

Step 6: Print two copies on A4 paper. Most universities require a printed scorecard during document verification.

What Your CUET UG 2026 Scorecard Contains

The CUET 2026 result will include a subject-wise scorecard for each candidate, which universities will use for merit list preparation and admissions.

Your scorecard will show:

  • Candidate’s full name, roll number, application number, and date of birth
  • Medium of examination
  • Subject-wise raw scores and NTA scores for each paper you appeared in
  • Percentile score for each subject
  • Total NTA Score across all subjects attempted

Understanding Raw Score vs NTA Score: Your raw score is the marks you earned based on the final answer key (+5 correct, -1 incorrect). The NTA score is a normalised score that adjusts for variation in difficulty across different exam shifts and dates. The raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to the NTA Score. For most universities, the NTA score — not the raw score — is the basis for merit list preparation.

What Is a Good Score in CUET UG 2026?

A high CUET score of 700-750 is considered a safe score. But if you aim to score 750 or more, those scores will put you in the “excellent” category. For admission in premier universities like JNU, DU, BHU, AUD, you should target 700+ scores.

For context by marks range (out of 250 per subject, maximum 1,250 for 5 subjects):

Score above 800 (out of 1,000 for 4 subjects): Strong candidacy for top DU colleges in Science, Commerce, and Arts streams across most programmes.

Score 650–800: Mid-tier DU colleges, most central universities including BHU, JNU, Allahabad, and Hyderabad are realistic targets. Top programmes at newer central universities are accessible.

Score 450–650: Wide range of central and state universities participating in CUET offer programmes accessible in this range. A score of 450 marks is considered as an average score. However, the score may vary depending upon the demand of course and college.

Score below 450: Several CUET-accepting universities and private institutions will still offer undergraduate programmes. Compare your score against previous year cutoffs of your target universities before making decisions.

Expected CUET UG 2026 Cutoffs for Delhi University

General category students need 750 to 850 marks to get admission in top DU colleges. OBC candidates require 700 to 800 marks, while SC students need 650 to 700 marks. ST category students need around 600 to 650 marks.

These ranges represent combined scores across multiple subjects. Individual subject cutoffs vary significantly by programme. In 2025, B.Com (Hons.) Hansraj University saw the highest cutoff of 917.43 marks. It was closely followed by Economics with a cutoff of approximately 908.90 marks. For highly competitive courses like BA (Hons.) Economics, English, Political Science, History, etc., students often need near-perfect scores.

Key cutoff principle for CUET and DU admissions: Your combined score across all relevant subjects determines your merit position for a specific programme at a specific college. The cutoff is determined by competition — how many candidates scored higher than you for the same programme-college combination. With 15.68 lakh candidates and limited seats, even small score differences matter at the top.

What Happens Next: The University Admission Process

NTA’s role ends with the declaration of results — individual universities then conduct their own admission and counselling process. This is the single most important fact every CUET candidate must understand: there is no centralised CUET counselling.

For Delhi University: The DU CSAS UG 2026 portal is your next critical destination. The Delhi University Common Seat Allocation System (DU CSAS UG) 2026 portal is expected to go live this week. Eligible candidates will soon be able to complete the registration process for DU UG admissions based on their CUET UG 2026 scores. Register immediately when the CSAS portal opens — the application window is typically 5–7 days and delays cost opportunities.

For BHU, JNU, Jamia, and other central universities: Each university operates its own admission portal and timeline. The CUET counselling is expected to start in July 2026, about 1 to 2 weeks after the announcement of the result. However, each participating university has its own schedule. The universities, such as Delhi University, BHU, and JNU, generally begin the counselling in mid-July.

The critical action this week: Register simultaneously on all university portals where your CUET score makes you eligible. Do not wait to see if DU gives you a seat before registering at BHU or Hyderabad University — the application windows overlap.

Documents to Prepare for University Counselling

Begin organising these documents today. Universities that open applications this week will have deadlines within 7–10 days:

  • CUET UG 2026 Scorecard (downloaded today — printout ready)
  • Class 10 marksheet and certificate (original + two photocopies)
  • Class 12 marksheet and certificate (original + two photocopies)
  • Aadhaar card (original + two photocopies)
  • Category certificate — OBC/SC/ST/EWS (must be current financial year for OBC-NCL)
  • Domicile certificate (for state quota seats where applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs (minimum 10 — recent, consistent with application photo)
  • Gap affidavit (if you took a year off between Class 12 and this admission cycle)
  • Migration certificate (if you changed schools between Class 10 and 12)

A Final Word for Every CUET UG 2026 Candidate

This result — whether it exceeded your expectations, met them, or disappointed — is the beginning of your undergraduate journey, not its verdict. The university you join matters far less than what you build within it: the skills you develop, the relationships you cultivate, and the intellectual depth you bring to every year of your degree.

Hundreds of India’s most successful alumni studied at “second-choice” colleges after their entrance exams. Your CUET score opens a door. What lies beyond it is entirely yours to determine.

Download your scorecard. Register on university portals. Prepare your documents. The next 30 days are where your college admission is actually decided.
